RED maintains a strong commitment to supporting young nonprofit organizations that show promise – in fact nearly 25 percent of our efforts are devoted to non-profit work.
Beacon Place, a young nonprofit organization established in 2012, acquired an abandoned home in Waukegan to serve as a neighborhood community center. Their goal is to organize programs that make a true impact on peoples’ lives and create transformational change for the families of Waukegan and North Chicago.
Beacon Place approached RED needing assistance in raising awareness of its programs to attract funders and volunteers. RED established a monthly newsletter, assisted in creating a new development package, and is about to rebuild the Beacon Place website. RED created grassroots fundraising campaign called Step Up for Beacon Place, in response to a challenge grant, that raised more than $100,000 in six weeks!
